Fair Weather Fishing

It's been a long ugly mess of a winter.  Long because it feels like forever.  Ugly because it doesn't really snow, its just cold, rainy/slushy/muddy and drab.  I'm not going to get into triumphant exclamations of how hardcore I am because "I've went fishing in conditions most wouldn't" etc... There are plenty of fly fishing blogs that have that post.  Instead, I'll fully admit that while I fished this winter, I picked only the nice days.  Maybe I have gotten smarter.  Or older.  Or I just don't really care.

This weekend was no exception.  It was 65 degrees.  Haven't seen that number on the thermometer in a long time.  Made a few phone calls and threw together an impromptu "stream meeting."  Serious business, we're talking here.  The "desk" was my 11' drift pram, the agenda was to try out a few new experiments from the vice.  Oh, and to conquer a few river oxen.  We came, we saw, we conquered.
