The Happy Trout Vintage Edition

I was paging through some photos of trips gone by and got the urge to share a post of some of those good times on the water.  There was one season in the last few years that really stands out- 2008.  Anyone in or near central Pennsylvania should remember it well.  2008 marked the return of the periodical cicada.  My closest fishing friends and I spent every free hour of the month of June and July casting the two-inch bug imitations to fish all across the center part of the state.  Pics will tell the story best...

that was some crazy s*** that year. Never before have I planned a trip so far in advance as I have the next cicada emergence. One of those things you have to see to believe.....some trout would just kill those flies like a bass on a popper and others would just sip them in like a size 24 trico. I'm ready for it to happen again. And how come the pix of your trout are so much bigger than mine?

Cute little inflatable boats you got there.
